Google reader connectivity, or feed import.
Some way to access google reader, or being able to import the rss feeds from there, i would much rather use this site.

Multi-client chat service similar to Meebo or eBuddy
Allow us to log into Google Talk, AIM, Yahoo, Facebook, etc etc, even meebo and/or digsby would be nice so that my chat widgets on my website will still be active.
I saw someone else mention the reverse, which would also be nice. By reverse I mean allowing me to log into pip.io chat using pidgin or adium

The ability to Play music In Pipio?
It would be great to have a built in media player for your music lib.

Search Facebook for Friends
It would be nice to be able to send an invite to people that are my friends on facebook/myspace. Some of my friends do not use e-mail.

We are going to be adding more invite methods and contact importers soon, we’ll look into using Facebook as well.

CPU usage is massive when just idling, ~16% on Safari 3, ~29% on FF3
I don't know what it is. Maybe the animations? They don't look CPU intensive... I ran the profiler against it, and most of your time is spent here:
function (property, value) {
switch (property) {
case "opacity":
return this.set("opacity", parseFloat(value));
case "float":
property = Browser.Engine.trident ? "styleFloat" : "cssFloat";
default:;
}
property = property.camelCase();
if ($type(value) != "string") {
var map = (Element.Styles.get(property) || "@").split(" ");
value = $splat(value).map(function (val, i) {if (!map[i]) {return "";}return ($type(val) == "number") ? map[i].replace("@", Math.round(val)) : val;}).join(" ");
} else {
if (value == String(Number(value))) {
value = Math.round(value);
}
}
this.style[property] = value; … more23 votes

thanks, there’s still a lot of JS optimizations that we need to do. The animations is one place where a lot of CPU cycles could be used. We’re definitely working on making the UI much faster.

put up a user's guide.
When people first get to the site, you should have an explanation of what it does. When I was invited to the beta, I had no idea what pipio was supposed to be. Some kind of explanations on what to do and how it works would be much appreciated. It would help if you had little popups with arrows pointing to features that disappear as users see the different features, or had an optional wizard to show people how it works and maybe a couple of sentences on the beta page/front page on what you're trying to accomplish.

include the facebook inbox/message feature
currently missing, and I use many facebook threads to contact certain groups - pipio rooms is a good alternative, but would be useful to access facebook's inbox through pipio as well as news feeds and contact walls
